Soil Grading
Landscape or Landscape soil grading is the process of sculpting and grounding the soil to prepare it for any kind of element of the Landscaping design. Contrary to popular opinion, soil grading is not only needed before planting grass or plants, but also essential before implementing hardscaping like patios, driveways, pathways etc.
Grading is also used to make the land inclined in an angle such that water flows without eroding the soil in certain places. Excess water from lawns and plantations should drain without waterlogging. In countries like India, water logging can also promote the growth of pests and insects like mosquitoes.
Grading is done by removing first removing the topsoil so that the land is sculpted and levelled. Hariyalee also provides irrigation system services and soil grading is the right step at which irrigation systems are laid. If the soil is loose necessary geogrids and meshing is done to hold the soil in place. This also aids in getting the plants and grass rooted firmly during the initial growth stage. The removed topsoil is added on top and levelled.
Why soil grading is important?
- Proper soil grading prevents erosion and water logging.
- Grading is integral part of implementing underground drains and irrigation system.
- Geogrid and meshing in loose soil can help with erosion and rooting of plants and grass.
- Grass turfs will be held at the same level for years with proper grading.
