Seating and Viewing Gallery
Seating gallery can have more functionality other than one could think of. In certain cases seating galleries can also double as retaining walls. Viewing gallery can also be constructed to make use of unused spaces of the landscape which can add great value to the landscape without no long-term maintenance.
A seating area build in to a tranquil landscape can help people enjoy and sink in the beauty of the landscape and relax. We will use the right material and design that will compliment the look and convert an area of a landscape that was rather useless.
Functional and Aesthetic Seating Areas
- Material: We can use a lot of different material from Rocks, Metal, Concrete and Timber to construct seating areas. Or the right mix of all mentioned elements can be used to create a unique look.
- Retaining walls: Where ever there is a need for retaining walls. The retaining wall will be constructed such that, they can also double as seating gallery. Stepped galleries on a slope can look aesthetic, functional, and work as strong retaining walls.
- Gazebos and shaded seating: In South India, it’s almost sunny throughout the year with brief torrential rainfall in the second half of the year. It makes sense to also build shaded seating areas and Gazebos to increase the usability of seating areas and galleries. These seating areas can also be planned under a large tree which will provide shade during the summer.
- Seating areas are some of the easiest ways to establish boundaries in the landscape. Existing structures can be exploited to set the perimeters of the seating area along with other element like plants, fences and kerbs.
